FIREWALK
– transform your life and at the same time
fundraise
for GETSuk & The Gambia
GETSuk
have been offered a place to 'firewalk’ as a fundraiser
with www.soul-fire.net at
the end of May (one place)
Alternatively
the next public event will be towards the end of the year, maybe November
(minimum sponsorship £150). Or,
a ‘biggie firewalk’ for GETSuk could be arranged at the end of the
year or early 2009, if we can find enough people to fundraise for us.

An easy way to
advertise your challenge and a no hassle way to collect the money that you
raise is to use this site - www.mycharitypage.com.
Sponsors can pay
this site by credit or debit card and My Charity Page will pay this, plus
Gift Aid, if applicable, to the charity you nominate. The link above
will show you how the scheme works.

Get
up and go in 2008!
We
are in need of persons to have FUN and FUNDRAISE with us, - of course
there are the quiet people out there who want a more leisurely way of
raising money and I look forward to hearing from you also.
If you are aware of a highly popular method of fundraising please
share your knowledge with us.
As
yet, we have had no one take up the ‘BIG KNICKERS RACE’, come-on, who
is going to be a ‘hero’ and take it on? – It is a scream for the
summer months.
A suggestion
came forward for the ‘office cross dress competition day’, but we are
yet to hear of it taking place or see the photographs!! Is it going to be
YOU?
Then
we have the ‘romantic’ or sometimes waterlogged ‘LUNAR TREK’
- A NIGHT WITH THE STARS…
WE
ARE SERIOUS ABOUT FUN!! If you would like to take up any challenge and
help us raise funds for Education in The Gambia please contact Shirley on

Or
a Challenge for the whole family -
SUPPORT
A ‘FUNDAY’ AT SCHOOL
RAISING ££££’s:
Parents,
Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and other family members and friends read and
hopefully enjoy our informative GETSuk newsletters and web pages.
You,
our readers, together with GETSuk, have the opportunity to enlighten our
children’s knowledge of life in The Gambia, West Africa, whilst taking a
fundraising initiative into their school.
So
we at fundraising have to ask, is there someone now reading this who is
willing to communicate with GETSuk and their child’s teacher to
instigate a non-uniform day, cake selling day, funny story competition
etc, so that during 2008 your child’s school will raise funds
through positive activities?
We
all contribute to someone else’s charity more than once during a year,
with your help let this year be the turn of GETSuk to receive; E-mail or
make a call now with your ideas, or for advice and information.
