Alieu attends Tujering Upper Basic School, Kombo.

Alieu is an excellent student, he is in  grade 9, so will be in High school next year.

He is particularly good in school debates and represents Tujering school in this area, his English is very good.

He is sponsored by Veronica Ward. This sponsorship came about because Veronica met Alieu on a visit to Tujering school. She met Tim Mawer and through Tim contacted Jerreh. After some discussion about how the money will go to support Alieu, Veronica started sponsoring in April 2006.

Veronica is sponsoring the school fees, uniform, additional study fees and Alieu's book bills.

Alieu's parents died some time ago. He is staying with a friend's brother in the village of Sangyang and has to travel to Tujering every day. 

 As Alieu gets older his education becomes more expensive, so GETS are looking for an additional sponsor to help with the cost of his travel and food.
