The
Gambian name Fatoumatta is normally shortened to FO.
She
is in her first year at MOBE-TA Nursery School in Dippa Kunda. (Nursery is up to the age
of seven in The Gambia). Fatoumatta was late in starting school as her
parents did not have the funds for her school fees.
She
is very excited and proud about being able to attend school with her
friends. Fatoumatta
loves putting on her uniform and has an extra sparkle in her eyes when
dressed ready for school.

She
can complete her alphabet & recognize & say her numbers to 100.
She speaks
both her mother tongue of Wollof & Mandika.
FO’s English is coming along fine.
